This twenty page
book written by Miss Reynolds (who later went on to teach at
Ridgewood High School) contains a brief history of Longlands / Brook Street School
since its opening in 1912.
The school's
existence spans two world wars and the Great Depression, right
through to the more colourful '70s and'80s; and the
book illustrates life at the school throughout these contrasting
times.
Many ex-teachers
and school trips are mentioned. The book also recalls many school
events and celebrations as well as a few tragedies.
