 The old school is now in a terrible state, the listed
buildings having fallen victim to vandalism and neglect.

The school is now on the market. Unfortunately the land seems
to be worth more to developers with the buildings demolished. Let's
hope there's the will to save at least some of them. |

We have some great new photos of the 1974 Staff Football Team and trips to Mt. Snowden from Geoffrey
Tomlinson who taught PE at Longlands in the early 60's. The latter show Mr
Gavin Goulson (History teacher) and many so-far unnamed pupils. If you
recognise anyone, please let us know!
We have also recently added a fascinating article, by the respected local
historian H Jack Haden, on the foundation and building of the school in
1911-2.

September 2011's reunion
at the school was attended by around 1000 ex-pupils and staff - some
from as far away as Canada and Dubai. The

documentary.
